About Anita

Born in Brussels, Belgium and raised in Chicago’s historic Old Town neighborhood, Anita has long had a penchant for older homes and spaces steeped with history. She has developed a passion for adapting historic homes for modern family life, whilst maintaining the integrity and charm of the homes’ provenance.

Anita has designed and overseen renovations for several homes across the Great Lakes region. Her eclectic approach to design is unpretentious and rooted in curiosity and her appreciation for world travel, craftsmanship and the beauty of the natural world.

Anita’s eye for interior design extends to making custom decor pieces for the home, be it with textiles, needlework or fine art. An American Horticultural Society Master Gardener, Anita is also passionate about plants and vegetation. She enjoys landscape design, specifically container gardening, with a focus on native plants and biodiversity.

At home, Anita enjoys reading, cooking, and spending time with her grandchildren on the shores of Lake Michigan.
